A quality Kindergarten program takes into account the various learning styles of the students. Teaching and learning is an interactive process in our kindergarten classroom. The teacher plans lesson units using a thematic approach. Each unit incorporates academic skills (reading, writing, math), scientific and technical skills (scientific observations and computer technology), and social skills (cooperation, team work, conflict resolution).
Our Kindergarten program has a certified early childhood instructor who is trained in early childhood practices. Our kindergarten teacher also participates in continuing education for professional growth.
A combination of Phonics and whole language curriculum is incorporated into the program along with Peaches and Math Their Way to provide a strong science and math component into the program.
The Kindergarten classroom is designed with many learning centers which give the children an opportunity to explore and apply skills they have acquired through teacher instruction. The program is enhanced by field trips, special days, and guests to further promote learning and provide for participation in cultural events.
Our Kindergarteners have an opportunity for reading, writing, and math, social play, outside play, foreign language and art. Give your child a head start and enroll today.
